The Project:

Bringing together several years of research and thought leadership related to gig economy workers, millennials, Covid-19, and small business owners, this editorial was created to establish a unique point of view from Cake & Arrow on how the gig economy might now be viewed as a microcosm of an emerging, post-pandemic workforce, defined by greater vulnerability and instability alongside a desire for more autonomy and flexibility when it comes to work. The piece highlights the research from which this perspective emerged and discusses the implications for the insurance industry.
